About the Author

Chris KotulakChris Kotulak began his career in horse racing as a teenager, when he worked with the thoroughbreds on the backstretch of Ak-Sar-Ben racetrack in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.  A self-trained track announcer with an Applied Sciences Degree in Photography, Chris called races on the Nebraska horse racing circuit before leaving to work as an announcer in Louisiana and later call races at Hollywood Park. Kotulak worked at TVG, the Los Angeles-based horse racing television network, for many years. As a host, analyst and reporter, he is known for his folksy nature, horse sense and vast insight and experience with all breeds of horse racing. He has covered horse racing in England, Australia and Japan. Chris currently works full-time at Remington Park Racetrack & Casino in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Bluestem Publications is the name you will see appear on your book orders and book deliveries.  Chris Kotulak developed Bluestem Publications for the purpose of publishing "JACK, From Grit To Glory,  A Lifetime of Mentoring, Dedication and Perseverance."
This is Kotulak's first book and his publishing efforts have largely been a grassroots endeavor.  Chris is a proud, native Nebraskan; the official state grass of Nebraska is the Little Bluestem; thus sprouted Bluestem Publications
